Phono Solar’s PV Modules Receive Certification for Salt Mist Corrosion Test

NANJING, China, November 4, 2011 – Phono Solar announced today that its Mono and Poly Modules have successfully received salt mist corrosion certificate from Intertek Testing Services.



The salt mist corrosion test was performed by Intertek in accordance with the standard IEC61701. In the test, the modules were immerged into 5% sodium chloride mist for 96 hours in a 35℃ test chamber. Then after being cleaned, the modules’ power decline and dielectric voltage withstand performance were tested. This test demands highly on the performance of modules’ package and quality of raw materials such as frame and back sheet etc. This new certificate demonstrates the high quality, exceptional performance and reliability of Phono Solar’s modules, which can be installed at the seaside with salt mist concentrations. Additionally, the coastally installed modules can bring even more financial benefits to customers. Recently, Phono Solar’s modules are receiving the ammonia gas resistance test from TüV Rheinland. By then, Phono Solar’s modules will be installed in almost any climate and locations.
