Phono Solar achieves Class-A for Brazil's INMETRO Certification

2015-11-18

Recently, Phono Solar, a global leading strategic renewable energy provider, has announced that its 260W and 310W polycrystalline PV modules have successfully passed Brazil's National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) certification, and been rating in Class-A.

INMETRO certification is an accreditation for PV modules efficiency with the rating being shown from A (the highest) to E (the lowest). In the meantime, INMETRO certification is the permit for PV products exported to Brazil and PV products must be labeled with the "INMETRO mark." The result shows that the PV modules efficiency of Phono Solar is much higher than INMETRO Class-A standard. INMETRO certification establishes a solid foundation for Phono Solar to further expand new energy markets of Brazil and South America.

YUAN Quan, the manager of Phono Solar marketing department states “Brazil, is the bridge to Phono Solar’s “BRICs strategy’’, which aims to vigorously expand the South American market. Phono Solar is committed to deliver all-encompassing energy solutions for supply, saving, storage and energy management to South America”

With 45% of the total energy structure, Brazil has one of the highest ratio of renewable energy. Furthermore Brazil is looking to implement two new policies to stimulate the demand of solar PV power in the near future, and drive the rapid development of the South American PV market. By 2024, Brazil is projected to have constructed a total of 7GW in solar PV projects.
