Phono Solar Sparkled at PV EXPO in Japan, Showing the Strength of an Enterprise Directly Under the C

2019-02-28

On February 27, 2019, the 12th International Photovoltaic Power Generation Expo (PV EXPO 2019) was kicked off in Tokyo. As the most influential PV EXPO in Japan, it attracted about a total of 70,000 professional guests from 1,590 companies worldwide.

As a leading manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic products, Phono Solar exhibited five series of high-efficiency modules in the EXPO, including monocrystalline bifacial half-cell double glass module, monocrystalline PERC half-cell MWT module, and polycrystalline PERC MWT module. In this way, it demonstrated its strength in product R & D and high-end manufacturing to all the guests from Japan and the world, further stepping up its development in Japan’s market.

Phono Solar has been focused on tapping into overseas markets including the Japanese market, and expanding its market share by virtue of its high-quality modules. In order to meet the demand for high-quality and high-efficiency modules, during this PV expo, Phono Solar exhibited its monocrystalline PERC half-cell MWT module, an innovative high-efficiency product. Designed with Metal Wrap Through (MWT) technology, this product differentiates itself from other modules by setting up both positive and negative electrodes of the cell on the back. This could improve the efficiency of the cell and the module and reduce power loss while enhancing stability. As the flagship product of Phono Solar, it can provide customers with a power increase of about 20W within the same area. This feature has attracted the attention of many Japanese customers.

Efficient and cost-effective products and services have always been the goal of Japan and a mature photovoltaic market. While satisfying the diverse needs of customers, Phono Solar has also rolled out another high-quality product, namely monocrystalline bifacial half-cell double glass module. As another innovative product after the iterative upgrade of Phono Solar, compared with conventional modules, this product has stabler output power and more effective ways of producing power generation benefits. Apart from being one of the key technologies for enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency, it is also a power generation solution tailored by Phono Solar for the highly competitive Japanese market.

In recent years, with a global vision in mind, Phono Solar has been advancing its efforts to tap into the Japanese market. As an enterprise directly under the central government specializing in energy, while focusing on the research, development and sales of cutting-edge technologies, the company has been dedicated to timely applying the most advanced scientific and technological achievements into key areas such as high-end smart manufacturing of photovoltaic modules, as well as the development, design, construction, and operation of PV power stations. In doing so, it has been committed to creating sustainable economic, social and ecological value. In response to individual demands of different customers, while continuously launching multiple innovative products such as MWT and bifacial modules, the company is also actively leveraging local resource channels to provide different services tailored based on local conditions. By virtue of its professional service solutions and excellent credibility in the industry, Phono Solar has been becoming increasingly popular and influential in the Japanese market.

As a Chinese brand deeply taping into the Japanese market, Phono Solar's participation in this expo has also attracted the attention of Solar Journal, a professional media outlet for the photovoltaic industry in Japan. Focusing on the development of the Japan’s photovoltaic industry and Phono Solar's strategies, the marketing manager of Phono Solar in Japan said in an interview: "Renewable energies dominated by photovoltaic and wind power are playing an important role in Japan’s efforts to accelerate the transformation of its energy structure. As the world's fourth-largest market for newly installed capacity, Japan holds huge potential in terms of developing PV power. After years of proactive efforts of Phono Solar to dig into the Japanese market, its high-efficiency and high-quality modules manufactured have received widespread recognition, and a total of 600 MW power has been supplied. Going forward, the company will continue its efforts to dig into the Japanese market by means of differentiated products, services and business models, and by drawing on mature experience available.”
